National Youth Chess Association Events U18 and U14

The National Youth Chess Association Events U18 and U14 was held in Telford.


South Wales came 3rd in both

Under 18 Team:

James Thomas, Alex Bullen, Megan Owens, Ashley Davies, Luke Kostanjsek, Tom Thorpe, Alex Wills, Matthew Staniforth.

Alex Wills was top scorer 3.5/4


Under 18 Team - Matthew, James, Luke, Ashley, Meg, Alex, Tom

Warwickshire came 1st 22/32, Kent 2nd 21.5/32, =3rd South Wales, Greater Manchester 20/32.

Staffordshire, Berkshire, Yorkshire, Cheshire & North Wales also competed.

Under 14 Team:

Ben Thomas, Nyasha Katsande, Nicholas Evans, Rhys Bennett, Owen Bennett, Owain Davies, Alyssa Wang, Jamie Bell-Thomas, Isaac Mikhail, Harold Nock, James Baker, Madeusz Sieduszewski

Alyssa was top scorer 4/4


              Under 14 Team

Sussex came 1st  38.5/48, Lancashire 2nd 35/48, South Wales 3rd 32/48

Manchester, Warwickshire, Cheshire & North Wales, Staffordshire and Yorkshire also competed.
