Howell’s wins Welsh Secondary School Championships

Howell’s of Cardiff won the Welsh Secondary School Championships, just ahead of Monmouth A. The winning team of Alyssa Wang, Shayanna Sivarajasingam, Neya Govindaraj and Emily Wang scored 11 match points and netted 20 game points. With equal match points, but one less game point were Monmouth A: Nyasha Katsande, Jamie Bell-Thomas, Max Lazarus and Michael Burger. Winners of the two previous years, Bishop of Llandaff, came third with 8 match points.

The six round competition involved seven teams – Howell’s, Bishop of Llandaff, Cathedral, St John’s, and three teams from Monmouth – and was played at St John’s on 28 November.
